Jaras Funderburg has been a prominent figure in the technology sector for 25 years, beginning his career in the Microsoft ecosystem with a focus on Exchange and Active Directory before expanding into virtualization. Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, Jaras started his technical journey as a PC Tech at a local college after some college studies in Information Technology. He later worked at a non-profit organization and a major MSP provider, where he deepened his expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem and other technologies.

 

Jaras's career has been marked by his knack for problem-solving and creating effective resolutions. His professional experience includes a solid background in process development, architecting, engineering, operating, and leading diverse infrastructures, particularly in Azure, Office 365, Exchange, and Active Directory environments. He specializes in capacity planning designs that reduce business-wide ownership and operational costs, PowerShell scripting, and infrastructure and administrative analysis. His ability to determine business requirements and implement best industry practices has been instrumental in his roles.

 

In addition to his corporate roles, Jaras has served as a Fractional CTO, providing strategic and technical guidance to start-ups, including social media platforms and companies in the fitness and supplement industries. His experience with start-ups involves overseeing technology strategy, product development, and operational scaling, ensuring these companies can compete and grow in their respective markets.

His certifications include Microsoft Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert, Quest On Demand Active Directory & Exchange, Quest Migrator Pro for Active Directory & Exchange, and Quest Recover Manager for Active Directory. His technical expertise spans cloud computing, Exchange, Active Directory, infrastructure, and automation.
